EUR 2.1 billion capital increase for Deutsche Lufthansa AG

In an effort to strengthen its equity position, Deutsche Lufthansa AG is launching a capital increase worth 2.14 billion euros ($2.51 billion).
 
Between Wednesday, 22 September 2021 and Tuesday 05 October, just under 6 million new shares will be offered to shareholders, doubling the current number of shares, at a subscription price of EUR3.58 for each new share.
 
The price of compensation for clients with open positions with Lufthansa CFDs will be determined according to the rate of the difference between the opening price of on 22 September 2021 and the subscription price.
• 22 September opening price: 6.10
• Subscription price: 3.58
• The difference is 6.10-3.58 = 2.52 euros
 
Each customer who held a long position should get back 2.52 euros per share. On the other hand, each customer who held a short position should be charged 2.52 euros per share.
